It was quite long ago i planned to go night trekking along with my friends..so finally yesterday we went to skandagiri hills and it was so thrilling because it was my first night trek… Me and my friends Senthil, Raman and Mahi are stared at 1 AM in two bikes.. It was so cold while driving..We started from our room ( Ramamurthy Nagar ) and headed towards NH-7 road..route is pretty straight forward follow the Bangalore International Airport after crossing the BIA , head towards Chikkaballapur cross that and follow the same road until you find a Visweswaraih statue [on your Left]. Take a left at this place and a right turn at the City Municipal Council a little further down and will reach Skandagiri. We were too scared since there is no bikes along our way !!.. road was really spooky.. scary!!
and it was so midnight( 2 AM) …Suddenly, we find a group of people with few localites… standing in the midway!! We joined with them and bargained with localite(Guide ) to take us to skandagiri!!!.We parked our bikes in guide’s home since the guide told us parking outside is the risk because of petrol and bike theft!!!.Finally we started to trek. I think it was around 2:30 AM..It was so dark but you see the path with the help of moon light..Guide walked before us and we were just following him. Seems for weekends this place is restricted area due to an asharam on the way to hill. So police do not allow people on weekends..After 10 mins walk we were at the base of skandagiri and all were ready to trek. Group of ten.. ready get set go!! After 20 mins of continuous trek… we took a break!! In few mins.. all noticed 2 people with torches.. treking so fast.. behind us!!..Our guide asked us “Who are you man? Are you police? Come here ( without knowing that two peoples are actual police ).A Voice replied back…. “Yes.. we are…. you come here…” All were dumbstruck…. Guide got few thrashes from the lathi…from both of them.
Police instructed us to get down.. and we had to climb down.. the whole way..After waiting for 10 mins.. Guide took us thru another way to trek… and this time we were so fast climbing the hill..Every 40 mins we have taken some rest and we keep on asking our guide that how much distance we covered..like that… some place its was very dangerous to trek..you should be really carefull..Finally we have reached the top and already 50 peoples are there
.. And also there are two tents in which they will supply tea,omlet.. It was so cold and we have taken a cup of tea.. There was a small temple but we cannot able to see anything since it was are surrounded by clouds… time went and now we are ready to see the sun-rise…It was so beautiful .. but due to fog and clouds we didn’t get the complete pic.. but in the full of white background for 2 mins we can able to see the full sun in orange color…wow!! it was awsome…I feeled that our pains are well paid for that view… after some time we can able to see the sun fully and the landscapes…it was really a nice place to see such wonderfull landscapes .. you can see the below pics which we taken… after 8 AM we started to return..We came to guide home and taken our bike and returned to our home…overall it was a super trip with thrilling and nice adventure..Hope in future will visit again…
